David has purchased
two new Panasonic HD cameras, an HPX-500 and an HPX-170.
These cameras are capable of recording any popular format,
including 1080p and 720p at different frame rates. Under-
and overcranking can be done in-camera to achieve excellent
slow motion and time lapse effects. The 500 has a Canon HD
lens with 2x extender and a 2/3" imager for great DOF
control and low light performance. The 170 is smaller and
lighter than an HVX200, but has an improved imager for better
resolution and low light performance. An LCD monitor with
waveform, matte box, remote zoom control, and a new Sachtler
18 fluid head round out the options. Both packages are available
